Originated by E.H.Carter in California (1959). Has  received a number of awards, including the American Camellia Society. "National Camellia Hall of Fame Award" for 1978 and the RHS "Award of Merit" in 1977.
Pale pink flowers, striped in a deeper pink, which can vary in form from semi-double, through paeony-form double to formal double on the same plant. Large, mid-green leaves. Reasonably vigorous with compact, upright growth. Flowers March/April.
