Miniature anemone form flowers, 5-6cm across with red outer guard petals and a compact white petaloid centre. Vigorous, upright, slender growth with long oval leaves. Flowers January to March.

The open habit means that plants can look quite sparse when young, but they fill in with age.

    Flower Colour: Red
    Flower Form: Anemone-form double
    Hardiness: Hardy
    Flowering Season: Spring

5 of 5 Fantastic camellia January 28, 2024
Reviewer: Jan Stevenson from Herefordshire
I bought this camellia from Trehane in 2008. It has grown wonderfully and flowers profusely, despite us not having perfect conditions... Herefordshire clay.  I would definitely recommend it for the striking red and cream flowers that last ages and brighten up the winter months.  I bought it as it was Roy Lancaster's favourite...

1 of 5 Died after less than a year January 2, 2022

My garden has slightly acidic soil and I grow many camellias and rhododendrons. Sadly, this beautiful camellia which flowered prolifically in the spring had died by the autumn (the leaves suddenly went brown). Wouldn't therefore recommend.
