Deep pink buds open to produce of small, single pale pink flowers from as early as January right through the spring. Small, narrow leaves, and an open and spreading habit with well-spaced branches.
Winton has a similar habit and appearance to 'Cornish Snow' and 'Michael', with which it shares its (Camellia cuspidata x Camellia saluenensis) parentage. Raised, like its sister seedlings by J.C.Williams at Caerhays Castle, and sometimes incorrectly referred to as 'Cornish Snow, Winton'
