Blueberry 'Huron'
Blueberry 'Huron'

Alternative Views:

‘Huron’ produces consistently high yields of large, firm, medium-blue fruit with a superior flavour that is sweet and low in acidity. However, it is important to ensure that the fruit is fully ripe when picked, as the sugars develop slowly and the berries can be very tart if picked too soon. ‘Huron’ crops early (in July), after ‘Duke’ and before ‘Bluecrop’.
The bushes are vigorous and upright, growing to 1.4m tall and about 0.9m across. Flowering is late and so can avoid being damaged by late frosts. The plant is only moderately self-fertile and benefits from cross-pollination by a different variety for maximum fruit development.
