Orders placed through our website can only be delivered to UK addresses, but excluding the following locations:
• Northern Ireland
• Isles of Scilly
• Channel Islands
• Isle of Man
• Scottish Islands
In addition there are certain parts of the Scottish postcode areas AB, IV, KW, PA and PH which are more expensive for delivery. Please contact us before placing an order if you would like delivery to one of these postcodes.
Unfortunately these exceptions are due to the higher costs that we are charged by the courier company, and which therefore aren’t covered by our standard carriage rates.
If you do live in one of the areas mentioned above we would be more than happy to accept your order if it is placed directly with the nursery, rather than through the website. Please contact us by email, phone or post, and we will calculate the most cost effective way of getting the plants to you.
Delivery Charges
Our standard delivery charge is £8.50 for single orders less than £100 in value, irrespective of the number of plants. Orders of £100 and above will be delivered free of charge to addresses within our online delivery area. (N.B. the postage charge for ordering the Blueberry Recipe book is only £0.50, unless plants are also ordered at the same time in which case the above rates apply).
Our Delivery Service
Delivery is made by a ‘next-day’ courier service so you should receive your plants the day after we send them, minimising the time spent in transit. We dispatch on Mondays through to Thursdays, so that deliveries can arrive on any day from Tuesday to Friday, thereby avoiding the plants being left languishing in a depot over the weekend. If it is essential to you that a delivery is made on a Monday then please let us know - if requested we can dispatch on a Friday, although we would not recommend it. Saturday delivery is also possible but at a considerable premium - please ask for details before placing your order.
We aim to send out orders within a maximum of 10 working days, but in most cases it will be much sooner than this. If you have any preference for the delivery day then please let us know when you place your order and we will try to accommodate your wishes (although unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed). Please let us have any instructions for where the plants should be left if you are out when the delivery arrives.
We pack our plants with the greatest of care using strong cardboard boxes designed for the purpose, so that the plants should reach you in the same optimum condition that they left us. Although we have great confidence in our courier company, very occasionally packages may become damaged in transit. If this is the case and the plants have suffered as a result please let us know as soon as possible so that we can send out replacements.
